Bhubaneswar: Former Indian cricket team coach Ravi Shastri will open a cricket coaching centre in Odisha.
The proposed centre will be the biggest private cricket coaching unit in the eastern region of India, sources said.
The cricket coaching centre will come up at MGM School of Sports in Athagarh area of Odisha’s Cuttack district.
“Ravi Shastri has signed an MoU with us to open the cricket coaching centre in Odisha. The centre will be made functional on April 1 this year,” said MGM School of Sports director Pankaj Lochan Mohanty at a presser at Athagarh today.
Notably, former cricketer Suresh Raina had inaugurated a stadium on the premises of MGM School of Sports in February last year.
“The MGM School of Sports has all facilities for budding cricketers. They can avail high standard coaching facility at affordable cost here,” Mohanty added.
