Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to construct the second high level (HL) bridge over Mahanadi river to boost road communication between Boudh and Sonepur district.
The state Cabinet headed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved the tender for the bridge project.
The proposed bridge will connect Baunsuni of Boudh district and Biramaharajpur in Sonepur district. The project will benefit the people residing in both sides of the river by providing direct connectivity and economic opportunity, said Chief Secretary PK Jena.
RKD Construction Private Limited, the lowest bidder in the tender, will construct the bridge. The state government will spend Rs 105,70,99,350 on the project. A target has been set to complete the project within 36 months, he added.
