Cuttack: Unidentified men allegedly gang-raped a 7-year-old girl at Balisahi under Madhupatna police limits in Odisha’s Cuttack city, last evening.
As per reports, the victim sustained injuries as she fell down while riding a bicycle in the locality. Moments later, the accused men reached the spot and offered help to the girl by telling her that they would take her to a nearby hospital for treatment.
However, they took the girl to a secluded place where they allegedly raped her.
On reaching her house, the victim narrated the ordeal before her family members. Subsequently, her family members lodged a complaint in this connection at the Madhupatna police station.
The girl was later admitted to a hospital in the city while her condition was stated to be stable.
Police have started investigation into the matter while efforts were on by cops to identify and apprehend the accused.
