Angul: A youth allegedly tried to end his life by slitting his throat after facing defeat in an online game at Jereng village under Jarapada police limits in Odisha’s Angul district.
As per reports, Soumyaranjan Naik of the village had developed an addiction of playing the online game. Unable to bear multiple losses in the game, Nayak decided to take the extreme step of killing himself.
He sustained critical injuries as he tried to slit his throat with a razor on Friday. The victim was rescued and rushed to the Angul District Headquarters Hospital for treatment.
His condition was stated to be stable at the hospital.
