Cuttack: A youth was found dead today while hanging from a ceiling fan of his rented house with the help of a long cloth under mysterious circumstances at New Goudasahi locality of Nayachowk under Madhupatana police limits in Cuttack.
The deceased was identified as Sandip Kumar Muduli, a First-Year student of government ITI in the city.
Actual cause behind the student taking the extreme step has not been ascertained yet, a cop said.
On being informed, a team of Madhupatana police reached the spot and seized the body, and sent it to the hospital for post-mortem. Police have registered a case in this connection and launched a probe.
“We are awaiting a post-mortem report and the reason behind the youth’s death can be confirmed only after a report comes in,” the senior policeman of Madhupatana PS expressed.
“We are questioning some people to gather more information,” the official added.
