Bhubaneswar: Activists of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) today gheraoed the government residence of the School and Mass Education (S&ME) Minister in Bhubaneswar alleging leak of Odisha Matric Exams 2024 English question paper.
According to a source, hundreds of ABVP activists congregated in the morning in front of the S&ME Minister’s residence. They were opposed by the on-duty policemen when the agitators attempted to barge into it. Tension erupted at the spot as the activists had a brawl with the cops.
The ABVP activists shouted slogans against the S&ME minister and staged an agitation. Later, the police personnel picked up the agitators in a van.
“Leak of question papers in the context of Odisha is nothing new,” some ABVP activists alleged.
“Mismanagement in the matriculation examinations has become a regular affair. In a sense, it appears to be impossible that exams will be conducted in the State and there will be no sort of mismanagement or irregularities,” the agitating activists said.
“We demand an immediate resignation of the Minister,” the activists demanded.
