Bhadrak: A pregnant woman died at the Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital last night allegedly due to medical negligence.
As per reports, 28-year-old Manjulata Ghadei of Biridi area under Agarpada police limits in the district complained of labor pain, following which she was taken to the Agarpada Community Health Centre.
The woman was later shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital at around 11.30 pm.
As per the allegations of her family members, she was administered an injection, followed by no further treatment till 2 am. Though her husband informed the doctors and nurses regarding the pain, they allegedly didn’t pay any heed.
The woman breathed her last at around 2.30 am.
Tension ran high at the hospital after the demise of the woman as the irate kin of the deceased created ruckus.
On being informed, police reached the place and started an investigation into the matter.
