(Watch Video) Villagers claim to have spotted tiger in Odisha’s Puri; Forest dept team to visit spot – N.F Times



Bhubaneswar: The villagers of Alaguma panchayat under Satyabadi block in Puri district of Odisha claimed to have spotted a tiger in their locality today.

The locals reportedly spotted the tiger in the paddy fields outside Singhakuda village of Alaguma. They have informed the incident to Forest department.

“I spotted the tiger roaming in the paddy fields today morning. I recorded a video of the big cat in my mobile phone. A few villagers also gathered at the spot to watch the tiger. The big cat later moved towards Mali Sahi and Sukala villages. We have informed the incident to Forest department,” said Kartik Das, a villager.

Sources, meanwhile, claimed that the Forest department will send a team to Alaguma to verify the villagers’ claim and collect details regarding the wild animal.

“We have alerted our staffers. A team will visit the spot and collect detailed information from the villagers,” said a senior Forest department official from Puri.
