Odisha: Former Remuna MLA Sudarshan Jena quits BJD – N.F Times

Bhubaneswar: Former Remuna MLA Sudarshan Jena today resigned from the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in Odisha.

The former legislator announced his resignation from the ruling party at a presser at Balasore today.

Jena, who had been elected to Odisha Assembly from Remuna seat in Balasore in 2009, has resigned from the primary membership of BJD.

“I have been working for BJD for last several years. The people of Remuna had elected me to the Assembly in 2009. Some people hatched a conspiracy to sideline me in the party. Besides, the BJD leadership did not give me the due importance. So, I have decided to quit the BJD,” Jena said.

The former MLA also alleged that babudom is now ruling the roost in BJD. “Even, BJD workers and leaders are not being allowed to meet the Chief Minister. The ruling party is on the verge of forging an alliance with BJP, which is spreading communalism in the country. The BJD will soon become the ‘B’ team of BJP,” he alleged.

While divulging his future course of action, the former MLA said he will soon join a national party, committed to the secular ideology in the country.
