Bhubaneswar: Three persons, including a minor boy, reportedly went missing while taking bath in Ib river in Odisha’s Sundargarh district today.
The incident took place while the trio was taking bath at Semina ghat of Ib river under Sundargarh Sadar police limits in the afternoon, sources said.
The missing persons have been identified as Muhammad Sahid (35), Muhammad Rijwan (20) and Muhammad Farhan (15) of Regent Market area of Sundargarh town, sources added.
It is being suspected that the trio went missing after they got stuck in quicksand while taking bath in the river.
On being informed, police and Fire Brigade personnel reached the spot and launched a rescue operation.
