Bharatpur police station in Odisha capital gets swanky new building – N.F Times



Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the new building of Bharatpur police station in Odisha capital here.

The swanky three-storey structure, built over around 11,000 square feet area, is the first-of-its-kind police station building in the state.

The building, constructed with an expenditure of Rs 4.5 crore, has several new features including reception area, help desk for women and children, waiting room, separate custody for men and women, counselling room, barrack, conference hall, interrogation room, toilets, rest rooms for police personnel, drinking water kiosk, crèche for kids and landscaped lawns.

The state government has planned to build similar buildings for other police stations in the capital city, sources said.

Minister Ashok Chandra Panda, MLA Sushant Rout, Mayor Sulochana Das, Director General of Police (In-Charge) Arun Sarangi and Police Commissioner Sanjeeb Panda among others were present on the occasion.
