Bhubaneswar: Odisha has recorded the second highest ever GST collection of Rs 5,109.33 crore during March 2024.
The state had collected Gross GST worth Rs 4,749.02 crore during March 2023. It has registered 7.59 per cent growth in Gross GST (CGST+IGST+OGST+Cess) collection in March this year in comparison to the corresponding period last year, said the CT&GST Commissioner, Odisha, today.
Odisha recorded the highest ever GST collection (Rs 5135.81 crore) in February this year.
The progressive Gross GST collection during FY 2023-24 (till March 24) is Rs 54,747.97 crore with 10.73 per cent growth over the corresponding period of FY 2022-23.
Odisha has also recorded the third highest ever collection of State GST (OGST+ IGST Settlement) with a collection of Rs 2,305.90 crore during March 2024 against Rs 1,919.43 crore recorded during March 2023 registering a growth of 20.13 per cent.
The highest and second highest ever collections of State GST in Odisha were also recorded during the current Financial Year (FY) with collection of Rs 2,700.85 crore during November 2023 and Rs 2,528.41 crore during December 2023 respectively.
The collection of OGST during March this year was Rs 1,659.31 crore. This is the third highest ever OGST collection.
The progressive collection of State GST (OGST + IGST Settlement) up to the month of March 2024 is Rs 24, 051.45 crore against collection of Rs 18,600.52 crore up to March 2023, registering a growth rate of 29.31 per cent.
The collection under all Acts monitored by the Commissionerate of CT & GST, Odisha, including OGST/ IGST Settlement / VAT and Profession Tax during March 2024 is Rs 4, 458.83 crore against collection of Rs 3,899.40 crore during March 2023 with a growth rate of 14.35 per cent.
The progressive collection under all Acts up to March 2024 is Rs 37,160.81 crore with a growth rate of 19.80 per cent over the corresponding collection up to March 2023.
