No let up from intense heatwave condition in Odisha; 4 places record above 43 deg C – N.F Times



Bhubaneswar: The intense heatwave condition continued across Odisha as the mercury crossed 43 Degree Celsius at four places in the state today.

Angul recorded the highest maximum temperature of Rs 43.5 Degree C in Odisha today, said the IMD regional centre here.

The maximum temperature was 43.2 Degree C at Malkangiri and 43 Degree C at Boudh and Titlagarh, added the IMD.

As per the IMD data, Bhawanipatna recorded the maximum temperature of 42. 8 Degree C, followed by Balangir 42.3 Degree C and Talcher 42 Degree C.

At least four places in Odisha–Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Hirakud and Phulbani—recorded the maximum temperature in between 41 Degree C and 42 Degree C.

The maximum temperature was 40.1 Degree C at Cuttack, 40.4 Degree C at Keonjhargarh and 40.8 Degree C at Sundargarh.

However, the capital city of Bhubaneswar recorded the maximum temperature of 39.6 Degree C. The maximum temperature fell by 3.9 Degree C in the capital city in comparison to yesterday’s figure (43.5), said the IMD.
