Bhawanipatna: In an incident exposing security lapses at the Bhawanipatna Jail in Odisha’s Kalahandi district, two under-trial prisoners escaped from the prison, this morning.
As per reports, prisoners Sikandar Jal and Nilamani Bibhar scaled the boundary wall of the jail and fled while they were engaged in gardening work.
The two were arrested under POCSO Act and sent to jail.
The Bhawanipatna Town police have started investigation into the incident while efforts were on by cops to trace and nab the duo.
