Bhubaneswar: A pregnant woman was killed when a tractor overturned in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha today.
The deceased has been identified as Jamuna Soy (25) of Mahuldiha area in Mayurbhanj.
The incident took place while Jamuna along with her son Badal and a few other women from her locality were travelling to Mulapala village on a tractor to offer prayers at the shrine of Goddess Basuli in the afternoon.
The tractor, carrying rice from the headquarters of Jarak gram panchayat to Mulapala, overturned after the driver lost control over the vehicle.
Jamuna was crushed to death at the spot. Her son Badal (5) and a few other women sustained injuries in the incident.
