Dhenkikote: Two youths were killed on the spot as a motorcycle and a scooter collided head-on near a petrol pump near Tikira village on NH-20 and under Dhenkikote outpost and Ghatagaon police limits in Keonjhar district, today evening.
The deceased were identified as riders of both the motorcycle and scooter. One of them was Pappu aka Deba Prasad Majhi (24), son of Bimal Majhi from Tikira village and the other was Siba Nandan Pradhan (24), who belonged to neighbouring Jharkhand.
Siba Nandan was on his way to Golabandha village near Ghatagaon.
Some locals took the two youths to the community health centre (CHC) in Ghatagaon, where doctors declared them ‘dead’.
On being informed, Ghatagaon police reached the spot and initiated a probe to ascertain the reason behind the road mishap. Police have seized the two vehicles.
