Pradeep Kumar Jena’s last day in office as Odisha Chief Secretary – N.F Times

Bhubaneswar : Senior IAS officer Pradeep Kumar Jena, serving as Chief Secretary, Odisha, will retire from government service on June 30.

Ahead of his retirement, Jena shares his emotions in form of words on social media platform X.

The 1989-batch Odisha-cadre officer assumed office after the superannuation of Suresh Chandra Mohapatra from service.

The Mohan Charan Majhi government on Friday appointed 1990-batch IAS officer Manoj Ahuja as the new chief secretary of Odisha.

He will succeed Pradeep Kumar Jena, who will retire on June 30. Jena had been given a six-month extension after retirement by the Naveen Patnaik government.

Hailing from Haryana, Ahuja has been on central deputation since 2017 and has now been repatriated to his parent cadre, Odisha, at the state’s request. This appointment marks the first time in two decades that a non-Odia officer will serve as the top administrator of the state.
