CBI Arrests Mastermind Aman Singh in NEET-UG Paper Leak Case – N.F Times


New Delhi: The CBI arrested Aman Singh on Wednesday, in the NEET-UG paper leak case, from Hazaribagh of Jharkhand, due to his supposed involvement in the scandal.

According to reports, Singh is said to be the mastermind behind the paper leak racket. This arrest marks the seventh in the series of detentions made by the investigative agency in the ongoing NEET-UG investigation.

Previously, on Sunday, the CBI detained the proprietor of a private school in the Godhra district of Gujarat, making it the sixth arrest related to the case. Dixit Patel, the owner of Jay Jalaram School located in Panchmahal district near Godhra, was apprehended for allegedly demanding ₹5 to ₹10 lakh from candidates in exchange for boosting their test scores.

The National Testing Agency conducted the NEET-UG exam on May 5. Subsequently, the results announced on June 4 sparked immediate controversy, with candidates voicing several concerns, leading to extensive protests across the nation.

On June 23, the Central Bureau of Investigation filed a criminal case concerning the purported discrepancies in the administration of the NEET-UG and UGC-NET exams by the NTA and established specialized teams to investigate these issues.
