Murray Teams Up with Raducanu for Wimbledon Mixed Doubles | Pragativadi | Odisha News, Breaking News Odisha, Latest Odisha News – N.F Times

Andy Murray is set to partner with Emma Raducanu for the Wimbledon mixed doubles, marking an exciting all-British team-up as he bids farewell to the tournament.

The duo received a wild card on Wednesday, following Murray’s withdrawal from the singles competition a day earlier, due to incomplete recovery from a back surgery at age 37.

Murray, a two-time Wimbledon singles winner, will also compete in the men’s doubles alongside his brother Jamie at the All England Club, beginning their quest on Centre Court on Thursday. The mixed doubles competition commences the next day.

In 2019, Murray reached the third round of mixed doubles with Serena Williams, but this event will be Raducanu’s first Grand Slam appearance in doubles.

The pair is up against a challenging first-round match with Marcelo Arevalo and Zhang Shuai, where Arevalo is a recent men’s doubles champion at the French Open, and Zhang has claimed two Grand Slam doubles titles.
