New Delhi: Renowned sports medicine expert Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala stated that all Indian athletes participating in the upcoming Paris Olympics, including javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, are in good physical condition to compete at their best.

Dr Pardiwala, serving as the chief medical officer for the Indian contingent, emphasized that his 13-member medical team is prepared to provide comprehensive support in injury management, sports nutrition, mental conditioning, sports massage, recovery, and sleep.

He reassured me that while some athletes may have minor issues, all of them are fit to perform. Dr Pardiwala, known for treating top athletes like Rishabh Pant and Mirabai Chanu, is part of a team of medical experts assembled by the Indian Olympic Association, Sports Ministry, and the Sports Authority of India to facilitate athletes’ rest and recovery, aiming to surpass India’s seven-medal achievement at the Tokyo Olympics.

Additionally, he highlighted that the athletes will have access to a dedicated recovery and preparational rehabilitation room for the first time to ensure they are fully prepared for the games.
