Jasmine Paolini (No. 7) sailed through to the Wimbledon semifinals with a decisive 6-1, 6-1 win over Emma Navarro (No. 17).

The 28-year-old has made history as the first Italian woman to reach the semifinals at the All England Club, achieving this feat in under an hour.

Now ranked world No. 5, a career-high, Paolini has ousted Pegula from the spot. She enters as the favorite against Croatian Donna Vekic (No. 37) and stands on the verge of her second Grand Slam final, following her runner-up finish at the French Open just a month prior.

Paolini wrapped up the match in 58 minutes, while Navarro’s performance fell short of expectations set by her previous matches.

In the semifinals, Paolini is set to compete against Vekic, potentially advancing to her second successive Grand Slam final.
