PM Modi Conferred with Russia's Highest Civilian Award – N.F Times

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conferred with the Order of St Andrew the Apostle, Russia’s highest civilian award, by President Vladimir Putin as a significant diplomatic gesture On Tuesday.

Established in 1698 by Tsar Peter the Great, the Order honours Saint Andrew, the first apostle of Jesus and the patron saint of Russia, and is conferred only upon those who have achieved the most distinguished civilian or military merit.

“Honored to be awarded the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle. I dedicate this to the people of India,” PM Modi posted on social media X after the award ceremony.

The Prime Minister was honoured for his exceptional efforts in fostering bilateral relations between the two nations.
