Rajesh Shah, father of BMW crash accused, removed as Shiv Sena deputy leader – N.F Times

Mumbai: Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday removed Rajesh Shah, the father of the Mumbai BMW hit-and-run case accused Mihir Shah, as deputy leader of the Shiv Sena.

Mihir Shah is the main accused in the hit-and-run case, which resulted in the death of 45-year-old woman Kaveri Nakhwa.

Rajesh Shah, who was the deputy leader of the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena in Palghar, was arrested also arrested on Sunday in connection to the hit-and-run case in Worli involving his son, Mihir Shah, in which a woman on a bike was killed.

However, a magistrate’s court in Mumbai’s Sewri on Monday sent Rajesh Shah to 14 days judicial custody and then granted him bail. The court had sent his driver Rajrishi Bidawat to one-day police custody.
