Kandhamal: Odisha Vigilance sleuths today arrested a Revenue Inspector in Kandhamal district for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000.
The accused has been identified as Dilip Sahu, RI, Durgapanga Revenue Circle under Kotagarh Tahasil, Dist- Kandhamal.
Sahu has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 5000 from a complainant for processing his application in a Mutation Case for issuance of ROR(Land Patta). The entire bribe money has been recovered from the accused and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations in Sahu from a DA angle.
In this connection, Berhampur Vigilance P.S. Case No. 11 dt. 09.07.2024 U/s 7 P.C (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. The investigation is in progress against the accused.
