New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced the Prime Minister’s Package, which includes five schemes designed to promote employment and skilling, with a budget allocation of Rs 2 lakh crore.
“For this year, a provision of Rs 1.48 lakh crore has been made for education, employment, and skilling. The people have provided our government with a unique opportunity to steer the country towards robust development and comprehensive prosperity,” stated Sitharaman. She also mentioned, “Our government will roll out three employment-linked incentive schemes as part of the Prime Minister’s package, based on EPFO enrollment, with a focus on acknowledging and supporting first-time employees.”
