GATE 2025: IIT Roorkee Announces GATE 2025 Result Date – N.F Times

Roorkee: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has released the key dates for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025.

Registration for GATE 2025 at IIT Roorkee will open on August 24, 2024. The institute has unveiled the official poster for GATE 2025, detailing important dates, eligibility requirements, test subjects, application fees, and other pertinent information.

As per the poster, the GATE 2025 examinations are scheduled for February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. The results for GATE 2025 will be announced on March 19, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria: 

As per the official poster, a candidate who is currently studying in the third year or higher of any undergraduate degree program or has already completed any government-approved degree program in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities is eligible to appear for GATE 2025.

How to Register:

Candidates can follow these steps to register for GATE 2025:

Step 1: Visit the official website, i.e., gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, candidates can click on the GATE 2025 registration link, once it is active.

Step 3: A new page will appear on the screen.

Step 4: Register yourself and proceed to fill in the application form.

Step 5: Proceed to fill in the application with the required information.

Step 6: Pay the registration fee and click on submit.

Step 7: Take a printout of your application for future reference.

As per the official poster, a qualified GATE score can be used for seeking admission and/or financial assistance to:

  • Master’s programmes and direct Doctoral programmes in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science/Commerce/Arts/Humanities
  • Doctoral programmes in relevant branches of Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science/Commerce/Arts/Humanities in institutions supported by the Ministry of Education and other Government agencies, subject to fulfilling the admission criteria.
  • GATE score may also be used by some colleges and institutions for admitting students without MoE scholarships or assistantships

The GATE 2024 examination will be in English. Candidates also have the option to appear for either one or two papers. Those who select the two paper options must choose from the pre-approved list of combinations. Additional two-paper combinations may be introduced at a later date.
