Ganjam: Three persons including two kanwariyas were killed after a speeding truck ran over them at NH 16, near Dimiria chhak in Ganjam district on Saturday.
As per reports, the mishap occurred while the truck was on its way to Kolkata from Berhampur. It hit the three pedestrians on the road. As a result, two of them died on the spot. The third one was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead. After hitting the pedestrians, the truck overturned, however, the driver escaped.
Meanwhile, Police have seized the vehicle and detained the driver.
