Indian Coast Guard executed an unprecedented swift night operation, rescuing 11 lives in a coordinated sea-air SAR mission.
The MV ITT PUMA sank 90 nautical miles south of Sagar Island en route from Kolkata to Port Blair.

ICG Ships Sarang and Amogh braving rough seas, in coordination with CG Dornier aircraft, performed the rescue.
The rescued 11 crew members from life rafts were given medical treatment and safely transported to Paradip Harbour.
ICG Ships are continuing their search for the remaining 3 crew members who jumped overboard and are feared to have drifted away in the sea currents.
