Nuapada: Odisha Vigilance sleuths today intercepted the MVI of Nuapada district while he was carrying suspected ill-gotten cash.
The accused has been identified as Bijay Kumar Behuria, MVI, Nuapada, Dist- Nuapada.
Based on reliable information Behuria was intercepted by a team of Odisha Vigilance near Khordha Hospital Square, while he was proceeding to Bhubaneswar from Nuapada in a private vehicle bearing Regd. No.OD-33-AC-2030 and cash Rs. 1.32 LAKHS (suspected ill-gotten cash collected as PC from different sources) were found in his possession. As Behuria could not explain satisfactorily, the amount was recovered from him and seized. Besides seized cash, the vehicle was also seized.
Following the interception, a search is being carried out at 5 locations in Behuria from a DA angle. He is being examined to ascertain the source of funds.
