Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi commenced a two-day visit to Jharkhand on Monday to attend different official programs.
As a distinguished tribal leader from the Santhal community in Keonjhar, he is slated to participate in the BJP’s ‘Parivartan Yatra’ in the neighbouring state, which is expected to have elections later this year.
Upon arrival in Ranchi, he will travel to Jagannathpur in the West Singhbhum district via helicopter. He is scheduled to attend the BJP’s ‘Parivartan’ rally in Kolhan and deliver a speech at a public gathering at the Majhagaon School grounds at 3 pm.
Subsequently, he will head to the Chaibasa Circuit House at 5 pm to stay overnight. On Tuesday, the Chief Minister of Odisha will speak at a public event in Chaibasa and is scheduled to return to Bhubaneswar from Ranchi at 4 pm, according to sources.
This visit comes after his meeting with Assam’s Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who also holds the position of BJP’s co-in-charge for the Jharkhand elections, at Raj Bhawan, attended by Odisha Governor Raghubar Das on September 27.
