Seoul: BTS’s V and ballad singer Park Hyo Shin have released their collaborative digital single Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN), along with its music video, which was simultaneously made available worldwide at 2 p.m. on Friday.
Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN) is a jazz-infused track that reflects V’s love for the genre. According to their label, Big Hit Music, the song features a cozy atmosphere created by the blend of saxophone, trumpet, and a dreamy prepared piano (a piano with objects placed inside to alter its sound).
The song holds significant meaning for both V and Park Hyo Shin, as it marks a new challenge for two artists recognized as top figures in their respective genres.
Park Hyo Shin shared, “We have always talked about collaborating on something fun when the opportunity arose, as we both love jazz. When we seriously discussed working together, I thought this project would be an exciting one.”
He continued, “Though stepping into each other’s primary genre was a bit cautious, it was incredibly fun. I’m thrilled that we can finally share our song with the world this winter.”
