Reports are swirling on the internet about Rashmika Mandanna, star of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, becoming the highest-paid actress in India, eclipsing her industry peers. Rashmika has now addressed these rumours and revealed the reality of her payment.
Rashmika Mandanna was present at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2024 in Goa, promoting her forthcoming film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, where she commented on the speculation about her substantial salary. She dismissed the ongoing claims of her being the top-earning female actor.
India Today reports that when asked about the speculation, Rashmika stated, “I don’t agree with that at all because it’s not true.” It’s reported that Rashmika received Rs 10 crore for her role, a significant rise from the Rs 2 crore she earned for the first installment.
At the event, she also spoke about the absence of her co-star Allu Arjun and director Sukumar from the promotional events, explaining that they were busy with the final edits of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, which prevented their attendance. In response to whether she anticipates a National Award for ‘Pushpa 2’ after Allu Arjun’s win, Rashmika expressed her hopes with a smile.
The eagerly anticipated ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, a sequel to the 2021 hit ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, directed by Sukumar, is set to release in theatres on December 5.
In addition, Rashmika Mandanna is set to appear alongside Dhanush and Nagarjuna Akkineni in ‘Kubera’, as well as with Vicky Kaushal in ‘Chhaava’ and Salman Khan in ‘Sikandar’.
