Devendra Fadnavis Takes Oath as Maharashtra CM for 3rd Time, Eknath Shinde & Ajit Pawar as His Deputies – N.F Times

BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra on Thursday at a grand event in Mumbai, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in attendance at Azad Maidan.


This marks Fadnavis’ return to the position after a five-year hiatus.

Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar took oaths as the Deputy Chief Ministers of Maharashtra.

Union Ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and JP Nadda, along with other prominent BJP leaders, joined the Mahayuti leaders on stage.

The event in Mumbai was a glamorous affair, attended by Bollywood celebrities such as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Ranbir Kapoor. Notable industrialists like Mukesh Ambani, Anil Ambani, Anant Ambani, and Kumar Mangalam Birla were also present.

Before heading to Azad Maidan, Devendra Fadnavis, taking the oath as Chief Minister for the third time, posted a photo with his mother applying a tilak to his forehead, captioning it as the start of a new chapter with his mother’s blessings.

The swearing-in ceremony at Azad Maidan saw an attendance of nearly 40,000 people.

Chief Ministers Yogi Adityanath, Mohan Charan Majhi, Bhajanlal Sharma, Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chandrababu Naidu, and Nitish Kumar were also present at the event in Mumbai.
