Sundargarh: Reinforcing its commitment towards environmental sustainability and community participation, NML Dulanga successfully organised a Prabhat Pheri followed by a mass plantation drive at Shubhrajyoti Nagar Township as part of the ongoing Swachhata Pakhwada celebrations.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from employees, senior officials, CISF personnel and members of the township community, highlighting a collective effort towards promoting a cleaner and greener environment.
Shri Brij Raj Prasoon, Head of Project, NML Dulanga, actively participated in the Prabhat Pheri programme and planted saplings during the plantation drive. Addressing the gathering, he emphasised the importance of environmental conservation and encouraged employees and residents to contribute towards sustainable development through collective action.
The occasion was also graced by Shri Ipil Bage, General Manager (Operations), NTPC Darlipali, whose presence added significance to the initiative. Heads of Departments (HoDs), senior management officials and employees joined the campaign with great enthusiasm and pledged their support for environmental protection and cleanliness drives.
The plantation initiative aimed at increasing green cover within the township while spreading awareness about the importance of ecological balance and sustainable living. Participants planted a variety of saplings across designated areas of the township to support long-term environmental improvement.
Officials stated that such initiatives not only help in creating awareness about environmental responsibility but also strengthen teamwork, social bonding and community engagement among employees and stakeholders.
The successful observance of Swachhata Pakhwada at NML Dulanga reflected the organisation’s continued dedication towards cleanliness, environmental stewardship and sustainable community development.
