Jajpur, Pratap Prusty : Planting a tree has long been a suggestion to better the earth, whether it is outcry of global warming or untimely rain, existence of life is inconceivable without trees. Carrying this concept, a massive tree plantation program was held at Atalapur Panchayat of Rasulpur block, Jajpur on 23rd September 2022. This is the first foot step of development of this panchayat in this year and we will carry it to a greater height, said the Sarpanch of Atalapur Mrs. Anesha Kasar. According to the report, a total of one thousand saplings were planted in this plantation program. The Local MLA of Bari Constituency Mrs. Sunanda Das inaugurated the program planting a sampling. All of us have the responsibility to save our earth by enhancing afforestation which is the ultimate remedy of it, so we appeal our fellow citizens to join hands by planting atleast one tree by each , said Mrs. Das, the MLA. In the coming days, we are going to plant five to six thousand more saplings in our locality to make it a green Panchayat, said the Sarpanch of Atalapur. In this programme, the Coordinator of Bari BJD, Mr Debendra Das, Inspector in-charge of Kuakhia P.S Mr Shiv Charan Behera, Vice-chairman of Rasulpur block Mrs. Jayanti Dash, Sarpanch of Samantarapur Mrs. Padmini Sethy, Sarpanch of Routarapur Mrs. Swarnalata Sahoo, BJD youth leader SK Guddu, Senior youth leader Sri Rama Chandra Sahoo, Jayprakash Dash, Sashibhusan Dash, Sushant Prusty, Arun Sahoo and other BJD workers of the neighbouring 10 Panchayats were enthusiastically taken part.
