New Delhi (Sr. Correspondent) : Delhi based Odisha Forum, having more than 300 members, a non-political organisation Estd. in1998 organized two-days Prabasi Odia Conclave on last 23 & 24th of December 2022 at Dr Ambedkar International Centre, 15 Janpath, Delhi. A Number of important Non-resident Odias from within India and abroad attended the Conclave.
In the inaugural function, the Chief Guest of the Prabasi Odia Conclave was Shri Biswabhushan Harichandan, Hon’ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Guest of Honour was Gajapati Maharaja Shri Dibyasingha Deb of Odisha. During the inaugural, Odisha Forum Honoured Six Prabasi Odias who have contributed to Odisha’s development in some way at their individual or institutional capacities. The Odia Samman was given to Padma Shri Agus Indra Udayana for Promoting Indian Art & Culture in Indonesia, Shri Pratap Das – CEO, Indian Performing Arts Promotion Inc. USA, with presence in USA & Canada, . Ms. Anjalika Pattanaik, Founder member of Indo American Sevak Foundation (IASF), Shri Jagannath Prasad Das -the Eminent Literature of Odiya Language and Dr. Santrupt Misra – Group Director HR, Aditya Birla Group, Shri Bijay Sahoo – Group President-Strategic HR, Reliance industries.The next day started with Panel discussion With some renewed Panelists discussing on various important topics concerning development of Odisha such as Political Foresights: Envisioning A Better Odisha, on this leaders from across three important political parties shared their perspectives. From BJP Shri Pratap Sarangi,(M. P)from BJD Shri Saumya Ranjan Patnaik (M. L. A.)and from Congress Tara Prasad Bahinipati(M. L. A) were there. The second and third panel discussion were on Odisha’s Bond with Bali, Resurgent Odisha: Conversations for Transformation, Raghurajpur-Art Village: turning Thoughts into Action, Building Community Network for Enhancing Image of Odisha:NRO’s Perspective , Odisha as a Soft Power: Preserving Heritage, Art, & Cutlure. The eminent speakers in these panels were former Justice of Supreme Court Anang Patnaik, former Chief Secretary of odisha Government Sri D.P. Bagchi, Ayaskanta Mohanty, Alok Panda, Dr. J N Mishra, Ajay Mohanty, Das Benhur, Adwaita Gadanayak, the D. G. Of NG. M. A.,Dr. Chidatmika Khatua and Shri Charudatta Panigrahi.
The programme on both the days were followed by cultural events and drama on Paika Bidroha and a spiritual talk was also delivered by Amogh Lila Prabhu from ISKCON.Odisha Forum with President, shri Gokul Pattnaik. Secretary Shri Rabi Pani, Treasurer Shri Pravash Pradhan, Joint Secretary Dr. Nivedita Giri, Mrs. Ipsita Behura with support of the Governing Board Members, well wishers and Delhi Odia Student Oranisation organized the two-day mega Prabasi Odia Conclave 2022. The two day conclave was anchored by Ispa Pratibima sarangi and Dr Bikram Mohanty of Cardiologist. Among others those who attended in this conclave were Sr, Advocate Abani Sahu, Secretary Sri Jagannath Mandir Ravindra Pradhan, Advocate Goutam Das, S. K. Rout, Sanjeeb Mohanty, former secretary of odisha forum Advocate Sanjaya Agrabal, former G. M. Union Bank H. K. Behera, Advocate Sarat Nanda, Vimal Panda, Mr, Gopal Mishra and Others Prabasi Odiya of Delhi attended and enjoyed the Culture function.
