Bhiali : In a major development adding one more feather in the glory of SAIL, Bhilai Steel Plant, National Accreditation Board for testing and calibration laboratories has granted NABL accreditation to product testing laboratories of SAIL, Bhilai Steel Plant, in the stream of chemical & mechanical testing.
In a formal ceremony organized in R&C laboratory conference hall on 29th august-2022, Director In-Charge, Bhilai Steel Plant Shri Anirban Dasgupta and Executive Director (Works) Shri. Anjani Kumar, graced the occasion to celebrate the success and expressed their satisfaction on the achievement and praised the efforts put in by R&C lab team lead by Shri Sandip Kumar Kar, CGM (Quality & SMS-3), for achieving this success without engaging any external consultants.
With the NABL accreditation of product testing laboratories, Bhilai Steel Plant now stands among the few integrated steel plants in India having NABL accredited in-house testing labs.This will not only enhance business prospects of Bhilai Steel Plant but will also enhance the customer confidence and satisfaction.
NABL Accreditation is recognition of a laboratory for its high level of transparency and compliance to ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 laboratory standard.Credit for this achievement goes to the team of R&C lab staff under the leadership of Shri Sandip Kumar Kar, Chief General Manager (Quality & SMS-3) constituting of the following members: Shri Alok Goel (Quality Manager-NABL), Shri R Sudhir (Section I/C – MTL-II), Ms. Sathya Devi (Section I/C –CCL & Metallography), Ms Vinita Verma (Technical Manager- MTL-II), Ms. Anita Tirkey (Technical Manager CCL & Metallography), Ms Richa Awasthi (Key Driver- NABL), Shri A V Manoj, Shri Ssrc Murthy, Ms. Suraiya S Kader, Shri Pawan Kumar, Shri Jahid Khan, Ms. D Swetha, Shri C P Pradeep, Ms Leena Warathe And Shri Mohan Verma.
