Berhampur : During the ensuing by- Election of Padmapur under Bargarh district the Senior reporter Deba Hari Behera of NANDIGHOS TV has been attacked & assaulted by certain political party members while he was collecting live news which has been strongly protested by the media and news reporters of BERHAMPUR PRESS CLUB. Protesting the attack on the media the fourth pillar of democracy a meeting was conducted peacefully at the Gandhi Square, Berhampur to take initiative steps against the persons attacked on Media. Protection for the Reporters is highly essential for their safety and security on duty. The government should realise the fact and take steps accordingly.
