National School of Drama in collaboration with Dept of Culture,Govt of India had organised a week long International Drama Festival,BHARAT RANGA MOHOTSAV from 17th to 22nd February 2023 at Madhabdev International Auditorium, Guwahati ,Assam.One of Odisha’s leading Theater Group,”EXPRESSIONS” from Bhubaneswar headed by Shri Debananda Nayak Sony had represented Odisha in the said International event.Writer, Director & Actor Shri Nayak staged the play ” BOTALA BHUTA “(BOTTLE GHOST) that has left the audience from Assam and other neighbouring States including a few Theater lovers from abroad spell bound.The style,form & subject matter on certain ongoing social malady touched one & all.Among others,the renowned Theater personalities like Dulal Roy,Arup Hazarika,Ms.Sima Biswas,Gunakar Goswami present on the occasion were impressed & highly praised the design as well as the concept of the play.In their opinion,such play,focussed on social problems in remote tribal society of the states & it’s causes will go a long way eradicating the degenerating factors of healthy social life & would ensure meaningful life in Indian society in general.The whole audience further observed that after a long interval they could see such a vibrating odia Play in the International Festival,Bharat Ranga Apart from congratulating Writer,Director,Actor Sri Nayak,the entire house encouraged all the team members, technicians to achieve further excellence in the field of Art & Culture.
