Sonepur (Pawan Agrawal ), Tribute to the 3 three students who lost their lives in a fatal road accident in front of Sardhapali school on March 22. In memory of the dead students, a mega blood – donation camp has been organized by the Chandrika Seva Trust of Subarnapur town. The camp has been organized in the premises of Pratik Rice Mill, Kalapathar near Sonepur town. Subarnapur District Superintendent of police (SP), Sj Amaresh Panda was the chief guest, Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Smt. Nishi Punam Minj, Regional Transport Officer(RTO) Sj. Akshaya Jena, District Chief Medical Officer (CDMO) Dr.Biswaranjan Ranjan Pati, Biramaharajpur Sub Collector Sj. Ashok Bhoi, Social Worker Sj Sribatsa Mallick inaugu rated the camp as chief guests. First, a two- minute silent prayer was offered for the immortal souls of the three students. Saswat Tripathy presided over the meeting under the chairmanship of Chandrika Seva Trust President Bantu Agrawal. A total of 207 units of blood were collected in this camp. Blood donation promoters Manoj Panda, Odisha Goverment Golden Hour Hero awarded Ram Narayan Dash, Red Cross Volunter Gopesh Panda and Akshaya Kumar Pujari joined and encouraged the blood donors. Blood collection was done by Subarnapur blood bank, Bhimabhoi Medical College, Balangir and VSS Medical Blood Bank , Burla.The blood collection team from Balangir consisted of Dr. Debi Prasad Mahapatra, Sujit Ku. Purohit, Sheikh Abdul Asraf, Ripuraj Meher, Rajendra Ku. Paik, Akshya Ku. Bag, Sushil Suna, Shreeyakanta Naik team from Burla Dr. Sangram Parida, Debasish Mishra, Lalu Biswas, Janak Behera, Prahallad Badhei while the Subarnapur team consisted of Dr. Saroj Patel, Titu Bhoi, Jagat Daruwan, Yudhistir Sahu Major. Trust members Santosh Mishra, Debasish Patnaik, Sanjaya Sahu, Satyabrata Padhan, Santosini Nanda, Deepaa Agarwal, Jayanti Rath Major volunteers cooperated the programme.
