Bhubaneswar: Saroj Kanta Mohanty, OAS (SAG), Chief General Manager (P&A), IDCO, was today found having multiple plots in prime areas of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack following raids by the Odisha Vigilance in connection with allegation against him regarding possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Simultaneous house searches were conducted by the anti-corruption agency in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Jajpur on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
The following assets in the name of Mohanty and his family members have so far been unearthed by the Vigilance.
1) One triple storeyed building at Mahanadi Vihar, Nayabazar, Cuttack.
2) One double storeyed building at Brahmabarada, Dharmasala, Jajpur.
3) One 3BHK flat at Sailashree Vihar, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar.
4) One 3BHK flat at Patapur, Baranga, Cuttack.
5) 10 plots, including 7 in prime areas of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
The measurement and valuation/ assessment of the buildings/ flats/ plots was being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing.
Till last reports came in, the raids were underway while the total value of his movable and immovable properties was yet to be calculated.
