Bhubaneswar: Two persons from Odisha have been selected for Padma Shri for the year 2024.
Krishna Leela singer Gopinath Swain from Ganjam district and Sabda Nrutya folk dance exponent Bhagabat Pradhan from Bargarh district have been selected for the prestigious award.
Altogether 34 persons from across the country have been chosen for Padma Shri award this year.
Pradhan has been selected for the award for his contribution to Sabda Nrutya folk dance while Swain got selected for preserving and promoting Krishna Leela Odia Bhajan.
