Odisha Chief Secy reviews administrative preparedness ahead of President Murmu’s visit – N.F Times



Bhubaneswar: A high-level review meeting on administrative preparedness for President Droupadi Murmu’s Odisha visit was held in Bhubaneswar, which was presided over by Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena. The President will arrive in Odisha on February 28 on her four-day official visit to the State.

Security arrangements and other related preparations are in place for the President’s official visit. Arrangements for her stay, sanitation & healthcare arrangements, coverage of scheduled programmes on media, uninterrupted electricity supply and barricading etc were discussed in the meeting.

Home Additional Chief Secretary Deoranjan Kumar Singh, Director General of Police (DGP) Arun Kumar Sarangi, and several other senior officials took part in the meeting in Lok Seva Bhawan here.

President Murmu is scheduled to attend several programmes in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Sambalpur. As per the schedule, she will lay the foundation stones of some projects and inaugurate some others in Rairangpur on February 28.

The President will visit Kichakeswari temple in Mayurbhanj and pay her obeisance to the goddess. Later, she will proceed to Keonjhar to inaugurate a seminar on tribals at Dharanidhar University.

In the evening of the same day, President Murmu will attend the 53rd Convocation of Utkal University in Bhubaneswar. The next day, she will attend the 25th Convocation of Berhampur University in Ganjam. On March 2, the President will take part in some programmes in Sambalpur.
