Nvidia CEO rings alarm on IT jobs, says with AI no one will require Java or C to do coding – N.F Times

New York: Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang feels that AI will impact the job market and says that kids need not learn coding as with this emerging technology, anybody can be a programmer.

A video of the Nvidia CEO has surfaced online in which he can be seen speaking at an event. He says that about a decade back, people used to say that everybody need to learn coding. But now, the scenario is the complete opposite, as with AI, everybody is a programmer. He also added that kids don’t need to learn how to code and that our job is to create a technology so that the language of programming is human. In other words, coding languages like C++ or Java shouldn’t be needed anymore as the computer should understand what people are trying to say.

He says, “Over the last 10-15 years, almost everybody who sits on a stage like this would tell you that it is vital that your children learn computer science, everybody should learn how to program. In fact, it is almost exactly the opposite. It is our job to create computing technology such that nobody has to program, and that the programming language is human. Everybody in the world is now a programmer. This is the miracle of AI.”

He then added, “You now have a computer that will do what you tell it to do. It is vital that we upskill everyone and the upskilling process will be delightful and surprising.”
