Thunderstorm warning issued for 23 Odisha districts for second half of today – N.F Times



Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre here has issued thunderstorm warning for as many as 23 districts of Odisha for the second half of today.

“Thunderstorm with lightning accompanied with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, and Kendrapara,” the Meteorological Centre forecasted and issued Yellow Warning for these districts.

The trough/ wind discontinuity from interior Odisha to north Tamil Nadu now runs from north coastal Andhra Pradesh to south Tamil Nadu across Rayalaseema at 0.9 km above mean sea level, it said.

Temperature Forecast: No large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) during next 24 hours and gradual rise by 2-3°C in subsequent three days.
