Odisha CM-Designate Mohan Majhi Meets Governor, Stakes Claim To Form Govt – N.F Times


Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister-designate of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday evening met Governor Raghubar Das at Raj Bhawan in Bhubaneswar to stake claim to form government in the state.

Union Ministers and BJP central observers Rajnath Singh and Bhupender Yadav, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Ashwini Vaishnaw and BJP State Unit President Manmohan Samal, BJP Odisha In-charge Vijaypal Singh Tomar were part of the delegation.

This evening, four-time Keonjhar MLA Mohan Charan Majhi was elected unanimously as the leader of Odisha BJP Legislature Party.

Also, two Deputy Chief Ministers, KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida have been designated to head the new State Government.

CM-designate of Odisha, Mohan Majhi expressed gratitude for the blessings of Lord Jagannath and the people of Odisha. He credited the BJP’s majority win in the state to the 4.5 crore voters who chose change and elected the BJP to lead Odisha. He assured that the BJP would uphold the trust placed in them by the people of Odisha.

As per schedule, Mohan Majhi will take oath as Odisha’s first BJP Chief Minister on June 12.
