Puri: President Droupadi Murmu is commencing her four-day trip to Odisha today. She will participate in various events, including the Puri Rath Yatra, after she arrives in the state’s capital, Bhubaneswar.
The President is set to land at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BBI) in Bhubaneswar this evening on a special flight provided by the Air Force. Upon arrival, she will be present at the 96th Death Anniversary of Utkalamani Pandit Gopabandhu Das in the capital city.
President Murmu will then partake in the renowned Rath Yatra (Car Festival) of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra in Puri.
On July 8, she will tour the Udayagiri Caves and engage with students from Bibhuti Kanungo College of Art and Crafts and Utkal University of Culture. Additionally, she will inaugurate the Divine Retreat Centre of Brahma Kumaris in Haridamada village near Bhubaneswar and launch the ‘Lifestyle for Sustainability’ campaign on the same day.
The President is also scheduled to attend the 13th Graduation Ceremony of the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) in Bhubaneswar on July 9.
During the President’s visit, all necessary security measures have been put in place at the venues where she will be in attendance.
