Jet Fuel and Commercial LPG Prices Surge Amid Global Oil Trends – N.F Times

New Delhi: In a move reflecting international oil price trends, the prices of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) and commercial liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) have been hiked once again.

On Sunday, state-owned fuel retailers announced a 1.45% increase in ATF prices, raising the cost to ₹91,856.84 per kilolitre in the national capital.

This marks the second consecutive monthly increase in jet fuel prices, following a 3.3% hike in November.

The price of commercial LPG, used predominantly in hotels and restaurants, has also been increased by ₹16.5 per 19-kg cylinder, bringing the new price to ₹1,818.50 in Delhi. This is the fifth straight monthly hike for commercial LPG, cumulatively raising the price by ₹172.5 over this period.

These adjustments come as a response to the fluctuating international oil market, which has seen significant volatility in recent months. The increase in ATF prices is expected to impact air travel costs, potentially leading to higher airfares during the upcoming holiday season. Meanwhile, the rise in commercial LPG prices will likely affect the hospitality sector, which relies heavily on this fuel for daily operations.
