Mumbai: Dua Lipa has clearly watched the Levitating x Yaha Kadam Kadam Par (Wo Ladki Jo, from the film Badshah) crossover trend and decided to deliver what the audience wanted – the ultimate crossover.
The international singer performed in Mumbai on Saturday night. The announcement of her concert was made months ago and ever since, fans had been joking that when Dua would sing Levitating, the audience would in return sing the viral lines from Shah Rukh Khan’s song, Wo Ladki Jo, a mashup that was popular on Indian Reels.
On Saturday night, Dua brought the memes to life by performing the mash-up. Dressed in white, Dua sang and grooved to the lines of Levitating when Wo Ladki Jo was plugged in. She grooved to those lines as well, making it a brilliant crossover. It goes without saying that the moment went viral on social media. So much so that even Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan has reacted to it. Watch the video below:
Suhana shared a video of the performance on her Instagram Stories and seemingly gave a shoutout to the singer.
Fans also shared their thoughts. “That’s very cool. She made it real,” a comment read. “Finally it happened, she did it,” added another. “And that’s how you do a trend,” a third comment read.
The Grammy-winning singer hosted her concert in Mumbai at the MMRDA BKC. Several prominent names were seen in the audience. These include Radhika Merchant, wife of Anant Ambani, and Isha Ambani’s husband, Anand Piramal.
