Balangir(Pawan Agrawal ) : Thousands of devotees from all over Odisha and neighbouring states went round Climbing from Harishankar to Nrushinghnath and vice versa, during Narsingh Chaturdashi with an objectives to seek blessings from Lord Shiba and Bishnu. Unfortunately health condition of one old women namely, Banita Majhi, Age-76 of Pastikudi Village of Kalahandi district become worsening running of high temperature, fever who lie down unconscious in the midst of footpath near Bhim Madao. 
Having received this information, a team comprises of 15 Volunteers from Red Cross, Disaster Management, Fire, Medical, Forest Dept. and relatives of the ailing women with the leadership of Red Cross Volunteers-cum- Trainer of Disaster Management, Sj. Ram Narayan Dash reached to the victim and the very women got rescued safely by providing medical emergency services. Needless to say, the height of the Gandhamardan is approximately 4921 feet and the victim woman was carried down to hospital through stretchers up to 8 km with the intervention of 7 Hours rescue operation started from evening 5 PM to Midnight.

The District Administration Balangir was thankful to the rescue team namely, Ram Narayan Dash, Fire Man Shakti Prasad Naik, Shrikanta Seth, Bimal Kumar Barik, Ujjal Matari, Nabin Bariha, Biswajit Sahu, Prakash Seth, Dharmendra Haripal, Panchanan Gartia, Medical Staff Romancha Barik, wild life squad of the Forest Dept. Himanshu Behera, Nruparaj Thakur and relatives of Casualty.
